

Thousands of donkeys were left injured or abandoned when the war in Gaza escalated.
The charity needed to raise awareness of its mobile veterinary team’s lifesaving work in a conflict zone, a sensitive story requiring empathy, credibility, and rigorous fact-checking to avoid perceptions of politicisation.

In total, we generated 134 pieces of coverage which included widespread national and international coverage, including The Guardian, The Independent, Metro, The Telegraph, Big Issue, BBC News Online and The World radio programme, drawing global attention to the plight of animals in Gaza.
Secured standout coverage in regional and specialist media, including ITV Meridian, BBC Radio Sussex, Capital and Heart, as well as Your Horse, Pets Magazine, Horse & Hound, which translated into new supporter sign-ups.
Boosted Safe Haven’s brand as the only animal welfare charity on the ground in Gaza in 2025, driving significant traffic to the charity’s website.
